The sun has returned here, in New Jersey. The weather is absolutely beautiful and it is so nice to be able to open the windows and let in some fresh air. I've been able to take the dog out for a walk and enjoy some sunshine. Unfortunately, my dog saw a dog that he is friendly with and likes to play with. He doesn't understand why I could not let him play with his friend.
The Covid-19 pandemic is intellectually understandable to you and I, but do you have someone close to you (a child, a senior, a pet) that does not understand the importance of social distancing? How are you explaining the situation to them? Are you successful in your efforts to impress upon them the gravity of the situation or are they incapable to understand?
Writing prompt:
Write an open letter to others explaining what they can and cannot do. How early in the pandemic do you wish someone had sent you a similar letter? Would you have believed it? How might you have responded?
